Tell Congress to put guardrails on data centers

Across the South, communities are showing up and telling utilities, local elected officials, and tech companies that they won’t quietly accept the AI data center buildout without pushing back. On both sides of the aisle, Americans are demanding a say in the impact of these facilities on our water, clean air, and energy.

But in Washington, D.C., Congress still isn’t listening. There has been no meaningful progress on bills to hold developers accountable for the impacts of the data center rush and guarantee communities a seat at the table.

We need national guardrails. Data center developers should stop hiding behind secret deals and be transparent about their energy use, water use, and how they will protect communities.

Please join us by emailing your representatives in Congress and demanding they stand up for communities over Big Tech’s AI data center push.
